Canon Business Process Services in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking a Claims Clerk to review insurance claim forms and documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness. You will determine coverage by examining company records and interface with insured, adjusters and agents to obtain missing information.

The role emphasizes clerical tasks, data entry, imaging preparation, and supporting the Claims department to maintain timely processing within a regular full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Must be familiar with personal computers and have good keyboard skills.
• Good computational math skills and strong communication abilities.
• Must be detail oriented with solid organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with Adjuster, Agent and insured to obtain information for completeness and update client systems.
• Prepares reports and insurance claim forms for damage or loss.
• Prepares documents for imaging and final disposition by client staff.
• Monitors email boxes and client systems to fulfill requested services.
• Records routine claims and acts as intermediary between company and insured.
• Performs clerical duties such as mail, check processing, reception, or distribution.
