Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring for a Coordinator, Collections, Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist to support oncology practices within a broad revenue cycle management framework.

You will review aging reports, contact payers, and pursue resolution of claims while adhering to HIPAA and policy guidelines, driving timely cash flow and reducing aging receivables. A strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance claim processing and denial management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review aging reports and work insurance accounts to ensure timely resolution and reimbursement.
• Contact insurance companies via phone, portals, or e‑mail to check claim status, request reprocessing or resubmission.
• Analyze denials and underpayments to determine appropriate action (appeals, corrections, resubmissions).
• Document all collection activities in the practice management/billing system.
• Follow up on unpaid claims within payer-specific guidelines and timelines.
