Financial Analyst — Insurance Sector
Location: 100% Remote
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst in the insurance sector to lead our ratings and research initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of proprietary ratings models, influence industry standards, and contribute to the financial well-being of consumers and investors nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve proprietary ratings models to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Monitor industry developments to update data collection, model calculations, and rating outcomes.
- Create insightful articles and research reports; respond to inquiries from internal teams, clients, and media.
- Collaborate with database administrators and data managers to maintain data integrity and support new projects.
- Oversee the production of quarterly ratings, guides, and custom reports, ensuring timely delivery.
- Lead projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in marketing efforts, events, and client presentations to promote ratings and research.
- Mentor and supervise junior analysts and support staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL databases.
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Experience with NAIC and S&P Global is a plus but not required.
