Your Role :
As an Insurance Product Analyst IV, you will be a strategic leader and voice of the results to the broader organization and distribution partners. Having strong analytical and strategic abilities, relationship-building skills, and business acumen will be critical for success. Your day-to-day activities will vary, focusing on strategizing and utilizing data to encourage action. Think big and move fast, with leadership support to try new things and creatively approach opportunities and solutions in this high-visibility role.
- Understand and communicate the overall performance and strategy of personal lines auto and property products in your assigned markets.
- Deliver effective presentations to multiple levels of internal and external stakeholders, adapting the content as appropriate.
- Prepare materials and shape agendas for executive meetings that inform key business decisions.
- Assess market risks and opportunities, evaluate multiple solutions, and use data-based insights to influence executive leadership decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with divisions across the organization, including Marketing, Actuarial, Finance, and others, to support achieving division and organizational goals.
- Lead the analyst community: advocate for analysts, provide guidance and mentorship, cultivate team building, and lead through budgeting, planning, and strategic analysis.
- Forecast and communicate progress towards budget, and develop strategies to meet budget and serve members across all personal lines products (including new products).
- Lead complex analyses to develop actionable and innovative recommendations for growth and profitability targets.
- Utilize tools like SQL, Microsoft Excel, Essbase, Snowflake, PowerBI, Python, etc., to access and analyze large datasets.
- Some travel may be required for high-impact relationship-building opportunities with internal and external partners.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of analytical experience in a related industry; experience across multiple functions is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience is crucial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic, and various structured analysis and design techniques, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use data to inspire action, with excellent analytic and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of delivering effective presentations to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven initiative and project management skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Strong business acumen, with solid knowledge of P&C insurance products, pricing, underwriting, marketplace, and product management, including understanding of product P&L, growth drivers, and profitability.
- Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across functions and external partners.
- Advanced skills in research, statistical analysis, data visualization, data science, and mathematical modeling.
- Ability to lead teams conducting analyses to identify solutions.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the industry.
- Experience in budget forecasting.
- Proficiency in change management and project management practices.
