Job summary

Horace Mann seeks an Exclusive Agent to run a defined territory, selling an expansive multiline product portfolio to educators. This independent contractor role emphasizes building a business with minimal overlap with other agents while leveraging Horace Mann’s technology and training resources.

You will focus on identifying affordable insurance and financial security solutions, networking with schools and educators, and presenting products to groups and individuals.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in insurance or financial services (preferred).
• Ability to obtain Life & Health and P&C licenses where applicable.
• FINRA licenses may be required per region.

Responsibilities

• Identify clients’ insurance and financial goals and present appropriate solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with educators and related communities.
• Network at events and within communities to grow the agency.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency.
• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses:
• Life and Health Insurance License
• Property and Casualty Insurance License
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region).
