Job summary

Austin Fitzpatrick State Farm is seeking an Agent Intern to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operation of a State Farm agency. You will work directly with customers and our team to learn the insurance business, discuss auto, home, and life insurance, and develop essential customer service, sales, and business skills.

This internship is designed for motivated individuals who want more than a job and may lead to becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent in the future.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or sales experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone.
• Help customers with questions, policy needs, and service requests.
• Build strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options.
• Have conversations about additional protection, including life insurance.
• Manage incoming inquiries and maintain accurate customer records.
• Follow up with customers and prospects.
• Support the team with administrative responsibilities and special projects.
• Learn the day-to-day operations of running a successful insurance agency.
