Job summary

Concord Group Insurance in Massachusetts is seeking a Policy Rating Technician to support the Personal Lines Underwriting Department with clerical tasks, processing applications, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and related materials. This role will enter data in the company portal and maintain policy files under supervision.

You will handle mail, answer calls, assist with receptionist duties, and provide technical support to underwriting operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Above average typing skills.
• Able to work as a team player with many different people, both inside and outside of the company.
• Able to resolve problems and effectively manage time and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Type forms, reports and memos as directed.
• Picks up, sorts and delivers internal department mail.
• Answers telephone calls and switches them to proper personnel.
• May be required to handle some receptionist duties.
• Rates and codes new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations and performs other policyholder service functions.
• Accurately enters business in the company portal and maintains policy files in proper order.
• Provides technical assistance in support of the Underwriting Operation.
• Maintain and order all office supplies, keeping areas fully stocked.
