Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced Insulator/Metal-man to apply, remove, and repair insulation on exposed surfaces or structures to maintain temperatures and energy efficiency.

You will read blueprints, measure, cut, fit, wrap, and seal insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, or urethane, in industrial settings. Must have NCCER, TWIC and Driver’s License, and 3–5 years journeyman experience.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints to select insulation materials and determine quantities.
• Must meet safety standards and follow job site protocols.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and select required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on insulation or attach metal adhesive to insulation.
• Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape.
• Fit, wrap or attach insulation around structures per blueprint specs.
• Seal insulation with covers, sealant, or tape to secure it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
