Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a dedicated Insulator to join our Traverse City, MI project teams. The role involves prep work and cleanup to prepare jobsites for insulation or waterproofing, including scraping excess insulation from joists and trusses.

Training is provided to advance from blown-in insulation to spray foam and air vapor barriers. You will work with basic hand tools and hoses connected to spray foam drums, wearing a respirator as required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of construction experience (carpentry, concrete, insulation).
• Valid driver's license.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work at different heights.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Insulator to join our team, where you will be involved in essential prep work and cleanup tasks to prepare jobsites for insulation or waterproofing. This role involves tasks such as scraping excess insulation off joists and trusses. You will have the opportunity to grow within the company, advancing your skills from blown-in insulation and spray foam application to installing air vapor barriers. Comprehensive training will be provided, and you will work with basic hand tools and hoses connected to 55-gallon drums of spray foam insulation. A respirator is required during tasks, as the material is non-toxic but should not be inhaled.

Responsibilities

Work Environment

Work on vacant jobsites such as hospitals, schools, universities, office buildings, and stadiums. You will be paired with a supervisor and work alongside a crew of 3-4 people, in environments undergoing renovations or new constructions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Traverse City, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
