Job summary

Chemelex is seeking an Insulation Journeyman to join our field team. You will install and remove insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment in the petrochemical industry, traveling nationwide and working from elevated heights as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 4+ years of industrial experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a TWIC card. You must provide your own tools and be prepared for safety and physical tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• NCCER certifications preferred but not required.
• 4+ years experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Able to lift 50 lb boxes.
• Willing to travel 90% to job sites nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment in petrochemical environments.
• Work from elevated heights using mobile lifting equipment (MANLIFTS).
• Provide own tools of the trade as an insulation journeyman.

Working in the petrochemical industry installing/removing various types of insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lb boxes.

Applicant will be required to work from elevated heights, including mobile lifting equipment (MANLIFTS)

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• NCCER Certifications preferred but not required.
• Minimum 4 years experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively as well as coherently with management and other Chemelex employees.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity issues
• Works well within teams.
• 90% travel to job sites around the country.
• Employment will be contingent upon passing Physical, Background and Drug tests along with an insulation journeyman written and practical test.

This position will require a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Card).

Insulation Journeyman must provide their own tools of the trade.
