Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. in Dallas, TX is seeking an Instrumentation Technician I to support troubleshooting, calibration, installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation for large industrial processes.

You will program PLCs and HMIs, identify parts for PLC, network, computer, and software components, and develop documentation produced during development. Travel to customer sites as required; a background with 2 years as an instrumentation technician, knowledge of AC/DC drives,

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience as an instrumentation technician.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives.
• Understanding of PID and control loops.
• Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
• Proficient with PLC and HMI systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation on large industrial processes.
• Program PLCs and HMIs; test program logic.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Assist with installation and commissioning.
• Develop and document project records.
