Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join the Facilities & Engineering team in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will perform calibration, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of instruments and building systems, while ensuring GMP-compliant documentation and safe operation.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with various shift patterns.

Qualifications

High school or GED plus 1 year of maintenance or manufacturing experience, or an associate's degree.
Experience with instrumentation, calibration and metrology preferred.
Experience in GMP-regulated environment and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform calibration, maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of process control instruments and building systems.
Complete quality and safety documentation in GMP/SOP compliant manner.
Troubleshoot equipment and systems and implement timely fixes.
Communicate work status to system operators and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate work orders in the CMMS.
Review maintenance reports and identify improvement opportunities.
Participate in training to build new technical skills.
