Job summary

Genentech in San Francisco seeks an Instrumentation Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and install analytical and laboratory instruments, while collecting data from users and manufacturers. You will maintain documentation and operate in a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, supervising peers, guiding vendors, and coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to ensure instrument uptime and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with three years' instrumentation experience.
• AA/AS Degree in related science or engineering with three years' instrumentation experience.
• Completion of Instrumentation/Electronics curriculum with three years' instrumentation experience.
• Equivalent military training with three years' instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance and installation of analytical instruments.
• Collect and organize technical data from equipment manufacturers, users and engineering personnel.
• Document tasks and work orders per SOPs and applicable standards.
• Follow LOTO procedures and ensure safe operation of tools and shop equipment.
• Lead and train peer craftspeople and coordinate tasks with management.
• Interact with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology and Engineering to ensure instrument performance.
