Job summary

Par Health, Inc. in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Instrument Mechanic to perform pre-commissioning, calibration and troubleshooting of process instruments across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate understands pressure, temperature, level, flow and density measurements and can calibrate with traceable equipment. You will work with hand tools and metering devices (multi-meters, Hart communicators, calibrators) following safety procedures, complete routine inspections, and implement modifications

Qualifications

• Degree from a technical trade school or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience as an Instrument Mechanic in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and repair/replace defective industrial process instrumentation.
• Ability to calibrate pressure/flow/temp/level/analytical industrial process instruments using test equipment.
• Experience in chemical and/or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
• Must read, interpret and document technical information.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Some positions require respirator use.
• Starting pay is $44.19 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plant equipment problems.
• Implement equipment modifications and/or replacements.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Conduct routine repairs to instrumentation and electrical components per safety procedures.
• Conduct safety observations as needed.
• Maintain equipment in area of responsibility.
• Conduct inspections and calibrations of process instrumentation.
• Conduct measurements and inspections using calibrated test equipment.
• Conduct routine installations of control instrumentation.
• Complete pre-task analyses for maintenance activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
