Job summary

Par Health is seeking an Instrument Mechanic responsible for pre-commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of process instruments. You will work with test equipment to calibrate and test instrumentation, diagnose equipment issues, and perform preventive maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates will have a technical trade school degree in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical Engineering and at least five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Degree from a technical trade school or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience as an Instrument Mechanic in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read, interpret and document technical information.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted, on a regular basis.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plant equipment problems.
• Implement equipment modifications and/or replacements.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Conduct routine repairs to instrumentation and electrical components in accordance with all plant work instructions and safety procedures.
• Conduct safety observations as needed.
• Maintain equipment in area of responsibility.
• Conduct inspections and calibrations of process instrumentation.
• Conduct measurements and inspections using calibrated test equipment.
• Conduct routine installations of control instrumentation.
• Complete pre-task analyses for his/her maintenance activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
