LyondellBasell is seeking a Maintenance Instrumentation Technician at Channelview, TX, to ensure safe and reliable operation of site instrument equipment. You will perform installation, maintenance, testing, and repairs on PLCs, DCSs, and instrumentation like thermocouples and transmitters.

Preferred candidates have an Associates degree in Instrumentation or military instrument training, with a strong maintenance background and ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Typically, minimum 5 years of plant maintenance experience in instrumentation.
• Ability to demonstrate craft relevant aptitude.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to provide overtime coverage and work plant call-outs.
• Ability to work with hazardous and/or flammable chemicals with proper safety precautions, training, and equipment.
• Ability to work around and/or manually interact with heavy equipment.

Responsabilités

• Accountable for personal safety and the safety of co-workers and promote a safe work environment.
• Provide technical expertise to assist supervision and operations in installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation equipment.
• Review assigned job scopes for completeness and understanding.
• Acquire necessary parts, tools, and instructions prior to starting the job to maximize efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures to isolate and work on plant equipment.
• Complete documentation using a CMMS and update supervisor on progress.
• Identify reliability improvements and participate in site reliability teams.
