Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an Instrument Maintenance Technician for the Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene (LIP) JV in Lake Charles, LA. You will maintain and repair instrumentation, ensuring safe, compliant operation of plant systems.

The role requires reading electrical drawings and executing tasks with teamwork, reliability, and safety. On-site work with potential overtime and cross-craft collaboration across disciplines is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification or NICET/NCCER/ISA preferred.
• Three years of relevant experience preferred; additional degrees reduce experience needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair instrumentation across the LIP complex.
• Promote safe work practices and comply with NFPA 70 & 70E.
• Read and interpret loop sheets, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Document work using CMMS and report progress to supervision.
