Job summary

Veolia North America seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a multi-engine power generation facility. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and improve electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems for engine-generator packages and plant auxiliaries.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, and contractors to ensure reliability, compliance with safety policies, and documentation in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 4 years progressive experience as I&E/controls or similar in heavy industry.
• Experience with electrical systems up to 34,500 Volts.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA; strong instrumentation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, repair plant instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Support engine-generator packages, switchgear, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and ensure safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, and contractors.
• Participate in root cause analyses and preventive/predictive maintenance.
