Job summary

Veolia North America seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support safe, reliable operation of a reciprocating engine-based power facility. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and OEM partners.

You will work on PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, switchgear, and protective devices, ensuring compliance with safety policies and documentation standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; technical or trade training preferred.
4 years of progressive I&E technician experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments.
Experience with electrical systems up to 34,500 Volts and engine-generator packages.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motor controls, instrumentation loops.
Knowledge of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, arc flash hazards, and safe troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on engine-generator units and balance-of-plant equipment.
Maintain instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, and gas detection devices.
Support engine control systems, PLCs, remote I/O, HMIs, SCADA, and associated panels.
Tackle faults, perform inspections, and document maintenance in CMMS.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors; support commissioning and startup activity.
Ensure safety compliance and proper documentation of activities.
