ABOUT THE ROLE

Performs various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Troubleshoot and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (Example: Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers).
  • Assists/conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.
  • Schematic reading and instrumentation calibration.
  • Digital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshooting.
  • Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing, and terminating.
  • Basic mechanical activities (Non critical welding, laser alignment).
  • Perform walk‑by inspections and diagnostic checks.
  • Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities.
  • Work with contractor personnel.
  • Participates in formal and on‑the‑job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non‑technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

  • General knowledge of electrical theory including electrical safety theory is required.
  • High degree of accuracy and mathematical ability.
  • The ability to operate electrical test equipment.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
