Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrician Technician to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair instrumentation and control devices.

You will read blueprints and schematics, calibrate devices, and ensure proper operation of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a industrial setting. The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman level experience, NCCER certification, and a State Electrical License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent plus related experience.
• NCCER certification and state electrical license.
• 3–5 years journeyman level experience in instrumentation/electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Reads and works from blueprints and other schematic drawings.
• Calibrates, installs and/or removes instrumentation devices.
• Reads and understands quality control manuals and testing specifications.
• Sets controls to regulate current, pressure, temperature, or other variables.
• Troubleshoots electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems with proper test equipment.
