Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrument Fitter to install, calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation systems across industrial sites. You will read blueprints, install devices, and verify wiring and testing to meet safety and performance standards.

Ideal candidates have 4 years journeyman experience, NCCER certification, and a valid Driver’s License. You will work in demanding environments with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Reading related blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics and electricity.
• Installations of instrumentation devices and control wiring.
• Adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reads and works from blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Installs and/or removes instrumentation devices.
• Makes installation and calibration of recorders, alarms, switches and other devices.
• Maintains current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
• May install flanges, regulator components and sensors as needed.
• Performs other duties necessary to install or troubleshoot instrumentation devices.
