Job summary

Austin-Industrial is seeking a skilled instrumentation technician to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair controlling, indicating, and measuring instrument devices. You will read manuals, blueprints, schematics, and testing specs, with focus on electrical schematics and PLCs.

Proficiency in Ohm's Law and circuit theory is essential. The role involves assembling and disassembling electronic process and hydraulic systems, calibrating equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Oil and gas instrumentation experience required.
• Journeyman level and QA/QC exposure.
• Knowledge of BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair instrumentation.
• Read blueprints and loop drawings; prepare job reports.
• Calibrate equipment and interpret testing procedures.
• Maintain inspection records and QC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
