Job summary

ADM West Plant in Decatur, IL is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist (1st Shift) to perform maintenance on instrumentation systems, PLCs, and related equipment. The role requires 5+ years of experience in industrial settings, a PLC background, and strong safety discipline.

Starting pay is $29.73–$34.66 per hour, with full-time benefits, overtime as needed, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience and/or equivalent degree in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Able to run conduit, troubleshoot, read blueprints.
• Associate's degree and/or Instrumentation education, knowledge of a PLC.
• Install, replace, repair, calibrate, and/or troubleshoot 4-20mA devices (temperature/pressure/flow transmitters, valves, pH, etc.)
• Use of HART communicator as required.
• Install and wire PLC racks, power supplies, I/O cards, comms, scale transmitter inputs; troubleshoot
• Willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, holidays in food grade and industrial areas including hazardous locations (Class I & II)
• Industrial safety experience: Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Arc Flash, Level 1-3 Electrical Training
• Terminate motors, troubleshoot controls with multi-meter
• Maintain manuals, publications, files, and production process knowledge
• Communicate clearly and cooperate with other departments to achieve efficiency

Responsibilities

• Qualified as 1st Class Maintenance with instrumentation focus.
• Terminate motors and troubleshoot controls with a multi-meter.
• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot 4-20mA devices and PLC components.
• Wire PLC racks, I/O, power supplies, and communication lines; troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate manuals and records related to equipment and processes.
• Communicate effectively across teams to optimize production.
