Job summary

PrintWorkers seeks a qualified Maintenance Electrician for its Itasca, IL site. The role features a 12-hour day shift and compensation ranging from $29 to $45 per hour.

You will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits and control systems, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, including PLCs and 480V systems. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance or industrial electrician.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, wiring, equipment, and control systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, electronic components, and industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuitry, controls, and related equipment to identify and resolve problems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and industrial equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical panels, wiring, lighting, fixtures, breakers, and control systems.
• Replace faulty wiring, breakers, components, and other electrical equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems and wire three-phase motors.
• Use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments effectively.
• Apply knowledge of resistors, capacitors, transistors, and other electrical/electronic components.
• Troubleshoot and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs); VFD experience is a plus.
• Identify potential electrical and equipment hazards and take appropriate action to prevent injury, equipment damage, and downtime.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with applicable electrical and workplace safety standards.
