Job summary

dsm-firmenich Belvidere site is seeking a Senior Technician, Maintenance (Instrumentation) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on process instruments and control systems. You will diagnose, repair, and calibrate devices like VFDs, PLCs, transmitters, and related sensors to support production targets.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years with hands-on experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years maintenance-related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot process instrumentation (4-20mA) and drive systems (VFDs/PLCs).
• Strong knowledge of safety and LOTO procedures.
• Willingness to work weekends/overtime/holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Fill out and review permits with operations before starting work.
• Follow lockout-tagout procedures while performing tasks.
• Diagnose and repair VFDs, PLCs, motors and related controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
• Support plant performance and safety initiatives.
