Job summary

Malone is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics for a 2nd shift (6:55PM-7:00AM) in Itasca, IL. Pay starts at $27+ per hour, depending on experience. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a long-standing client of Malone.

Responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, reading schematics, and wiring/control work on PLCs. Strong mechanical aptitude required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vo-tech preferred.
• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Entry Level Mechanic: technical program studies with <3 years.
• Experienced Mechanic: technical program studies with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment by performing predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair blow molding, injection molding, and support equipment.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics and diagnose issues.
• Install PLCs, change motors, and set up control circuits.
• Repair or upgrade equipment to ensure safe, continuous operation.
• Work with refrigeration, drying, conveyors, and pumps as needed.
