Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Temporary - Instrument and Controls Technician I to support Utilities and Energy Management on the UT MAIN CAMPUS. This on-site role involves installation, maintenance, and safety adherence in a high-integrity campus environment.

Responsibilities include journey-level instrumentation tasks, compliance with ISA standards, and collaboration with the UEM team. Immediate start is available with a 9-80 schedule and benefits eligibility for this temporary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Two years of apprentice-level experience in instrumentation and control systems.
• Preferred: four years of related apprentice-level experience and graduation from an accredited college in Industrial Instrumentation or related studies; ISA Level 1 certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in journey-level installation, retrofit, and modification of campus instrumentation and control systems in power and chill water metering and distribution.
• Identifies, reports, and corrects safety hazards and works in confined spaces and around hazardous materials.
