Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is hiring a Controls Technician to support calibration, maintenance, and instrument repair in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will perform routine and complex calibrations, read schematics, and coordinate with contractors to keep production equipment running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, PLC/instrumentation experience, and adherence to cGMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
• Experience calibrating temperature probes, pressure transmitters, probes (Emerson).
• Experience with PLCs and instrumentation, electrical theory and safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and complex calibrations and breakdowns for processing and laboratory equipment.
• Schedule work orders on calibration/maintenance systems and review documentation.
• Prioritize workload with minimal supervision and communicate progress via emails and reports.
• Maintain inventory using standard office software and purchase order systems.
• Comply with safety and GMP procedures.
