Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform routine and complex calibrations and breakdowns for processing and laboratory equipment. The role supports production and R&D activities within the Nutrition division, working in an industrial setting with emphasis on safety and quality.

You’ll schedule work orders, review documentation, and ensure accurate records while maintaining GMP standards and coordinating with supervisors and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and complex calibrations and breakdowns for processing and laboratory equipment.
• Proficient in scheduling work orders on current calibration/maintenance systems and reviewing documentation.
• Prioritize and execute workload with minimal supervision and report progress via emails and weekly reports.
• Use standard office software and purchase order systems for inventory management.
• Comply with safety and GMP procedures.
• Support calibration procedure implementation, investigations, and instrument repair.
• Read Blueprints / Site P&ID drawings and PLC Ladder logic.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend new instruments for continual improvements.
• Communicate effectively with supervision and customers.
