Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a maintenance calibration technician to perform routine and complex calibrations on processing and laboratory equipment. You will schedule work orders, review documentation, and ensure GMP compliance in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, instrument upgrades, reading blueprints and PLC ladder logic, and coordinating with supervision and external contractors as needed to maintain productivity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience calibrating temperature probes and pressure transmitters (Emerson).
• Experience with PLCs and integration, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics instrumentation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; follow repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex calibrations for processing and laboratory equipment.
• Schedule work orders and maintain calibration systems and documentation.
• Review completed work and report progress to supervision via emails and reports.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and identify instrument improvements.
• Ensure safety and GMP compliance during maintenance activities.
