Job summary

Plainfield Renewable Energy (PRE) is a 37.5 MW wood biomass gasification power plant in Plainfield, CT. We seek an IC&E Technician to calibrate, test, troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems, and optimize PLC and DCS logic for improved reliability and efficiency.

The role involves maintaining turbine control systems, SCADA, and emissions controls, coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Plant Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience as a Technician in power generation or industrial environment preferred.
• Skilled in installation, calibration, testing, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain instrumentation and control systems (PLCs, DCS, SCADA) for reliable plant operation.
• Develop, update, and optimize PLC and DCS logic to improve automation and plant efficiency.
• Maintain electrical systems including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors, and inverters.
