Job summary

BW Design Group is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to develop and deliver control system solutions for capital projects in food & beverage, life sciences, and advanced technology sectors. You will design PLC/SCADA interfaces, lead estimating, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a BS in engineering (process control emphasis preferred) and 3+ years of experience with Rockwell hardware/software, PLCs, P&ID, and data sheets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering; or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading instrumentation and controls design for capital projects.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation hardware/software and PLC, I/O, SCADA, networking, P&ID, and data sheet development.
• Willingness to travel for install/start-up/client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrumentation and controls designs for capital projects in manufacturing sectors.
• Engineer PLC and SCADA interfaces to meet safety, reliability, and optimization goals.
• Lead instrumentation and controls design and estimating during project phases.
• Conduct facility and system walks to define scope and constraints.
• Design monitoring and control systems for process variables (pressure, temp, humidity, flow).
• Document requirements and develop I/O, P&IDs, data sheets, and network docs.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, system integrators, and clients.
