Job summary

Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to develop and optimize control systems for food & beverage, life sciences, and advanced technology sectors. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across capital projects from concept through startup.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years of experience, and expertise with Rockwell hardware/software, PLC, I/O, SCADA, and P&ID development. Occasional travel may be required to project sites.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
3+ years leading instrumentation and controls design for capital projects.
Experience with Rockwell Automation hardware/software, PLC, I/O, SCADA, networking, data sheets, and P&ID development.

Responsibilities

Develop instrumentation and control system designs for industrial manufacturing and process environments.
Engineer PLC and SCADA interface solutions to meet safety, reliability and optimization goals.
Lead instrumentation and controls design and estimating during preliminary and detailed project phases.
Document process and functional requirements for instrumentation, controls, and related equipment.
