AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II in Bothell, WA to join the engineering group for fast-track project execution. The role focuses on I&C design, instrument selection for P&ID, control logic development, HMI graphics, and data sheet generation within a collaborative team.

Candidates should have a BS in engineering and 2–8 years of power/industrial experience, with DCS/PLC familiarity and experience with SmartPlant or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited recognized institution.
• Two to eight years of power plant, industrial, operations and/or construction engineering experience or equivalent.
• Control system engineering experience – DCS and/or PLC experience preferred.
• Experience with I&C design software packages is preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC, ASME, NFPA, ISA codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide instrument selection for P&ID development.
• Perform I&C engineering calculations using approved procedures and software.
• Assist in control system engineering functions (HMI graphics, control logic, communications, configuration).
• Develop instrument data sheets using instrumentation design software.
• Prepare project I&C equipment specifications based on scope documents.
• Generate bid tab evaluations and purchase requisitions.
• Review vendor drawings and incorporate into I&C design documents.
• Coordinate major I&C vendors and act as primary Company liaison.
• Check work of team members and support construction/start-up personnel.
