Job summary

Snc-Lavalin in Bothell, WA is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Designer to join our engineering team. The role involves creating I&C drawing packages, 2D/3D drafting, and 3D model placements using SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or Revit as required.

You will work under the Lead I&C Engineer to ensure technical accuracy, support construction, and maintain ISO 9001 documentation. This is a full-time position offering growth within a multidisciplinary environment in the power/industrial

Qualifications

• AA in drafting or AS degree in Instrumentation / Industrial Automation or equivalent from a qualified technical school is required.
• Minimum two years of industrial or power plant design experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete layout of I&C drawings based on SOW/DBD and general direction.
• Drawings include wiring diagrams, location plans, instrument installation details, and loop sheets.
• Perform drafting with AutoCAD (2D/3D) or Revit per project needs and place 3D renderings in plant-wide models.
• Utilize I&C design software and catalog instrumentation information for reporting.
• Provide on-site and/or remote Instrumentation support to Construction and Start-Up personnel.
• Check vendor and other disciplines' drawings for consistency and accuracy.
