Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Phoenix seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II to help clients achieve energy-efficient building solutions, improve processes, and advance technology across healthcare, science, and industry.

You will design and validate control systems, select controllers, develop PLC and UI, and travel for field surveys, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept to startup.

Qualifications

• BSEE, ME, or ChemE or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years in Building, Process, and/or Industrial control design roles.
• Hands-on PLC programming and user interface development experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish criteria for industrial systems and determine applicable codes.
• Select controllers and develop system routing and layout for equipment.
• Monitor, interpret, and test PLC/DC systems and distributed control systems.
