Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Madison, WI is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer I to join our team. You will work with experienced engineers on significant projects to design energy-efficient building solutions and empower clients in healthcare, science, and technology sectors.

You will be mentored initially and will have opportunities to mentor CAD technicians while applying your knowledge to complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Interest in industrial, process, or building HVAC control systems and instrumentation.
• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (ABET).

Responsibilities

• Work under mentorship of senior engineers on large projects.
• Support instrumentation and control system design and documentation.
• Collaborate with CAD technicians to develop drawings.

As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer I in our Madison office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will yourself help to mentor CAD technicians and designers. You will be applying your knowledge while working on significant and complex projects.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Instrumentation And Controls Engineer

• Interest in industrial, process, or building HVAC control systems and instrumentation.
• Completion of an engineering degree program from an ABET accredited school in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• Exposure to Building Automation Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, (PLC), Programming, and Electrical Schematics.
• Exposure to drafting programs such as AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
