Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks an experienced instrumentation and controls engineer to develop solutions for capital projects in food & beverage, life sciences, and advanced technology sectors. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to translate process requirements into safe, reliable control system designs.

The role covers design through installation and start-up, influencing system architecture, equipment performance, and manufacturing operations. 3+ years required; Travel permitted.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years leading instrumentation & controls design for capital projects.
Experience with Rockwell Automation hardware/software; PLC, I/O, SCADA, networking, P&ID & data sheet development.

Responsibilities

Develop instrumentation and controls designs for industrial manufacturing and process environments.
Engineer PLC and SCADA interfaces to support safety, reliability, and optimization.
Lead instrumentation design and estimating during project phases.
