Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, based in Illinois, seeks a Process Engineer II to join a growing team of industry experts. You will support capital projects, provide process engineering and instrumentation expertise, and collaborate with clients to solve complex problems.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial project engineering, familiarity with sanitary design, and a willingness to travel for project requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial project engineering experience involving process and related automation applications.
• Experience in the food, dairy, beverage/brewery, or personal care industries is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, mass & heat balances, basic piping system design, pump sizing, material handling methods, equipment, and process instrumentation & control principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrated process-related projects including design, equipment selection, installation specifications, vendor/contractor management, and start-up support.
• Contribute to all aspects of integrated design-build projects in the range of $2MM to $10MM.
• Vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, schedule management, project engineering, and site management/installation support.
• Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening relationships with clients and team.
