Job summary

BW Design Group in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Designer to develop and lead design solutions for industrial facilities. You will collaborate with licensed engineers, project teams, and clients to deliver PLC, SCADA, and DCS-based systems while mentoring junior designers.

You will prepare instrument specifications, loop sheets, I/O lists, and control diagrams, and provide field support during commissioning and construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in control systems documentation and engineering design for industrial systems.
• Strong Revit design experience.
• Experience in food & beverage, advanced technology/data centers, or life sciences with emphasis on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrument specifications and PLC/SCADA/DCS-based control designs for industrial facilities.
• Lead instrumentation and controls engineering on multidisciplinary projects.
• Provide field support including on-site design, commissioning, and construction management.
• Mentor junior instrumentation and controls designers and collaborate across offices.
• Create instrument lists, I/O lists, loop sheets, and wiring diagrams.
