Bayside Health in Melbourne is seeking motivated Instrument Technicians to join the SSD team on permanent part-time positions. These roles are based primarily at The Alfred with opportunities to rotate to Sandringham Hospital in a collaborative multi-site service.

You will work a 24/7 rotating roster reprocessing instruments and providing essential sterile equipment to clinical areas. Experience in Sterilising Services is valued but not essential, as comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• Commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, including written and spoken English.
• Ability to learn new processes and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability, accountability and flexibility in the workplace.
• Availability to participate in a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Minimum Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (evidence required).

Responsabilités

• Cleaning, packing and sterilising reusable medical devices according to sterilisation standards.
• Electronic lifecycle tracking and tracing of reusable medical devices to support quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Distribution and issuing of sterile equipment to clinical areas.
• Maintaining compliance with relevant standards and Alfred Health policies.
