Zusammenfassung

Talentify is seeking a Central Sterile Technician for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. This full-time evening position (8-hour shift 2:30p–11:00p) supports the Sterile Processing Department by cleaning, assembling, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment for patient safety.

Responsibilities include inventory management, data entry, and collaboration with surgical teams to ensure readiness for procedures.

Qualifikationen

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Two years of experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate; Central Supply Certification preferred.

Aufgaben

Perform thorough decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical trays, instruments, and equipment following infection control standards.
Monitor inventory levels and restock sterile supplies and equipment to support procedures and patient care areas.
Enter accurate data into tracking systems and process patient charge cards for proper documentation and billing.
Transport sterile and used instruments throughout hospital departments per protocols.
Communicate with surgical staff to anticipate needs and resolve equipment or supply issues promptly.
Identify correct instruments and trays for procedures, ensuring readiness and surgeon preferences.
