Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with standard design tasks, updates, and project duties under supervision. The role spans multiple market segments, with a focus on the Power group’s planning, design, and startup activities in decarbonization and energy projects.
Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree, with ABET preference, strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, and a drive to grow within the field.
Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties assigned.

Power
The Power group is responsible for the planning, design, and startup of power generation and decarbonization technologies. This includes gas turbines, utility-scale battery storage, hydrogen electrolysis, carbon capture technologies, solar, and nuclear plant services.
