Job summary

rwdyinc in Midland is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician III to install and maintain electrical and instrument equipment used by production operations. You will test and repair systems, evaluate issues, plan repairs, and document problems and actions taken.

You will plan and oversee work per laws and safety standards, coordinate with operations, engineering, and projects, follow permit-to-work procedures, perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and stand in for the lead

Qualifications

• Associate degree and technical certifications required.
• Experience maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in processing, offshore, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with oil and gas facility regulations and OIMS procedures.

Job description

Instrument and Electrical Technician III

Compensation: $60/hr; agency provided truck

Location: Midland Hwy 80

Schedule: 5/2

Target Start Date: ASAP

Tentative End Date: One year from start date

Scope: Install and maintain electrical and instrument equipment used by production operations. Test and repair electrical and instrumentation systems, evaluate issues, plan repairs, and document problems and actions taken.

• Plan and oversee work in accordance with applicable laws, standards, specifications, procedures, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and projects; review electrical and control specifications and work practices.
• Follow the Permit to Work System and Work Management Manual. Complete scheduled maintenance and help prioritize work.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems and provide technical support to other technicians.
• Prepare Management of Change requests and follow up with installation inspections consistent with OIMS Element 3.
• Inspect new installations, recommend upgrades, share technical updates with the team, and stand in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead when needed.

Qualifications: Associate degree and technical certifications required. Experience maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in a processing plant or offshore production plant. Familiarity with oil and gas facility regulations and OIMS procedures; ability to meet the position’s training and competency requirements. Strong safety practices, troubleshooting, communication, organization, reporting, and computing skills.
