Job summary

Rwdy-Inc in Midland is looking for an Instrument and Electrical Technician II to support production operations by installing and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems. You will test, repair, and plan maintenance, documenting issues and corrective actions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with operations, engineering, and projects; following safety procedures; and standing in for the lead technician as needed on complex tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, ideally supplemented by related technical coursework.
• Experience maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls in a processing plant or offshore production plant.
• Familiarity with oil and gas facility regulations, OIMS procedures, and applicable safety and technical training requirements.
• Computing skills, clear communication, organized reporting, attention to detail, and strong troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment in production operations.
• Test and repair electrical and instrumentation systems; evaluate issues; plan repairs; document problems and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and projects teams; provide input on control specifications and work practices.
• Maintain electrical and control systems under the Work Management Manual and follow the Permit to Work System.
• Complete scheduled maintenance safely, to standard, and on time; prioritize work and provide troubleshooting support to others.
• Prepare Management of Change requests for electrical and control equipment and inspect installations per OIMS requirements.
• Monitor new installations; recommend upgrades; share technical updates; stand in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead as needed.

Scope

• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and projects teams; provide input on control specifications and work practices.

• Complete scheduled maintenance work safely, to standard, and on time. Help prioritize work and provide troubleshooting support to other technicians.
