Job description

Position Overview

Instructor Pool – THEATRE (Terminal, Fixed Term). The role serves as a potential instructor for undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the Theatre & Dance department of UW-La Crosse. Responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, student assessment, advisory duties, and other departmental service as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
• Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations.
• Maintain currency in the content area related to teaching assignment, evaluate student work, assess student outcomes, provide feedback, maintain records, and hold office hours.
• Advise students and provide other service to the department as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or, in rare circumstances, post‑baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience (as appropriate). Certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program.
