Job description

SUMMARY

Provide the expertise and knowledge that support the college curriculum and programs. The role of the Instructional Faculty encompasses teaching and learning, advising, professional development and institutional and community service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach college level mathematics courses including day, evening, or weekend classes.
  • Develop and deliver engaging course content aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
  • Advise students on academic progress and career planning.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to instructional improvement.
  • Serve the institution through institutional and community service.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Completed at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Math and hold a Master’s degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of college level teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to teach during multiple time slots.
  • Working knowledge of presentation software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
  • Inspiring and motivating students in a learning-centered environment.
  • Self‑disciplined and able to manage others effectively.
