Xavier University’s School of Education invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction in Human Development and Educational Foundations, beginning Fall 2027. This position will teach foundational coursework across every licensure program and across undergraduate and graduate levels, while supporting accreditation processes in Cincinnati.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Education or closely related field required.
Valid professional educator license or ability to be licensed in Ohio within the first year of employment.
Minimum 5 years of K-12 teaching experience while holding a professional educator license.
Excellent organizational, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team within School of Education programs.

Responsibilities

Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses across licensure and Masters programs (Elementary, Secondary, Special Education, TESOL, etc.).
Advise students across multiple programs regarding course sequencing and requirements.
Maintain student records and data, ensuring foundation course requirements are met and supporting accreditation efforts.
Assist with enrollment and recruitment activities as needed.
