Job summary

Air Canada in Los Angeles (Onsite) seeks a trained trainer to develop and deliver cargo and airport training programs. You will ensure classrooms and materials are ready, manage attendance, and provide constructive coaching to frontline staff. Flexibility for travel and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in teaching, training, facilitation, or a related learning role.
  • Experience in cargo, airport, airline, or another operational environment is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver training programs, including classroom learning and on-the-job training.
  • Confirm participant attendance and ensure training rooms, computers, materials, exercises, and activities are ready.
  • Facilitate clear, engaging learning sessions for employees with different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Administer exams, document results, and communicate whether required standards have been achieved.
  • Evaluate participant performance and provide timely, constructive coaching and feedback.
  • Provide operational support and coaching to front-line employees as required.
  • Complete training records and all related administrative documentation accurately and on time.
  • Review existing and proposed training programs and recommend practical improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Training Delivery Manager and other members of the Customer Service Training team.
  • Support training related to airport, cargo, and dangerous goods operations, as assigned.

  • Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills, with careful attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard workplace technology.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and remain positive and professional in challenging situations.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and a genuine interest in helping others learn.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and travel based on operational requirements.
  • Spanish language skills are an asset.
